How we write our guides

Every guide on The Travelogue Tours is written by Umar, the person behind this blog. Topics are chosen from questions travellers actually ask, such as how to plan a route, what a trip costs, where to stay, and how to avoid common mistakes.

Before writing, Umar researches the topic from official sources where they matter, such as tourism boards, transport operators, and government travel advisories. Prices, schedules, and entry rules change often, so guides point readers to the official source for the detail that matters most.

What we do and do not claim

Guides are based on research and real travel experience. Where a recommendation comes from personal experience, the guide says so. Where it comes from research, it is presented as general guidance, not as a first-hand claim.

We do not invent trips, credentials, statistics, or testimonials. We do not present a place as visited when it has only been researched. If a guide is wrong, we would rather correct it than leave it standing.

Links and recommendations

Articles link to related guides on this site and to authoritative external sources, so readers can check the facts for themselves. A link is included because it is useful, not as an endorsement of everything on the linked site.

Some links are affiliate links. If a reader books or buys through one, the site may earn a commission at no extra cost to the reader. Affiliate relationships do not decide what is recommended.

Corrections and updates

Travel information goes out of date. When a reader reports an error, or when a price, place, or rule changes, the guide is corrected as soon as it can be. Readers can report an error through the Contact Us page, and corrections from readers are welcome.

Guides are reviewed when they are written and again when a reader flags a problem or when the information is known to have changed. There is no fixed review date on every article, because travel facts change at different speeds.

Funding

The site is supported by advertising and occasional affiliate links. That keeps the guides free to read. Advertising does not influence what is written.
