Hi, I am Umar
Welcome to The Travelogue Tours. I am Umar, the person who writes this blog.
I started this site for one simple reason. I love to travel, and I love helping other people travel better.
What this blog is about
This is a travel blog for real travellers. You will not find fluff here.
You will find practical guides, honest money-saving tips, and destination ideas. These are the three things that decide whether a trip feels stressful or great.
How this site is funded
The site is supported by advertising and occasional affiliate links. That keeps the guides free for you.
I only recommend things I genuinely think are useful. If a link earns me a commission, I will tell you.
Why I started it
Every trip taught me something new. How to find cheaper flights. Which neighbourhoods are worth staying in. What to skip when time is short.
For years I kept all of that in my head and in scattered notes. Friends and family started asking me to plan their trips, and I realised this knowledge was worth sharing with more people.
So I built The Travelogue Tours as one place to put it all. It is a personal blog, not a travel agency and not a corporate publication. It grows a little with every trip I take.
What you will find here
Practical travel guides. Clear, detailed guides to destinations, written so you can plan a trip without guessing.
Money-saving tips. Honest ways to cut costs on flights, stays, food, and activities, without ruining the fun.
Destination ideas. Inspiration for your next trip, whether you want beaches, cities, mountains, or something in between.
An honest note
I want to be straight with you. Everything I recommend comes from my own research and travel experience.
I do not have a big editorial team. I do not claim to be an expert on every place on Earth.
Prices change, places change, and my experience is one perspective. Always double-check the details that matter for your trip, like visa rules and opening hours, before you go.
Come along
Whether you are planning your first big trip or your fiftieth, I am glad you are here. Take a look around, steal a few ideas, and if a guide helped you, say hello through the contact page.
Happy travels.
